LeaseWizard pricing and alternatives: $20 a lease plus a monthly platform licence, compared with self-serve lease abstraction

Every LeaseWizard entry below comes from leasewizard.ai itself: its pricing page and the structured data on it, its homepage, its security, about and contact pages. Nothing is taken from a review directory.

The honest summary: LeaseWizard wins on languages, data residency and ongoing administration. LeaseAbstracts wins on the total bill for a US portfolio and on getting to the first checked abstract without a sales call.

LeaseWizard is one of the few lease abstraction vendors with a published rate card. Its pricing FAQ says it "charges $20 per lease contract (amendments included) plus a monthly platform licence starting at $350/month." The tiers are:

• Essentials, $350 a month: five custom fields, critical date tracking, standard support.
• Professional, $750 a month: unlimited custom fields, advanced drawings and floorplans extraction, priority support.
• Enterprise, custom licence: unlimited custom fields, custom AI chat tokens, a dedicated customer success manager, SLAs, SSO, API integrations and a zero data retention option.

One detail to watch: the pricing page we loaded displayed euro figures (€300 and €635 a month, €20 a lease), while the same page's structured data lists the US dollar prices above. Confirm the currency and the billing term on your quote. The page does not say whether the licence is monthly or an annual commitment, so ask.

Because the licence is fixed and the per-lease fee sits on top, the first-year cost depends mostly on how long you keep the licence. Here are twelve months of Essentials plus the per-lease fee, next to the smallest LeaseAbstracts plan that covers the same leases, at published prices.

On Professional the licence line becomes $9,000 a year. The comparison is not quite like for like, and it is fair to say so: the LeaseWizard figure buys a lease administration system with reminders, payment schedules and portfolio chat for the whole year, while ours buys abstraction and export. If you need the system, price it as a system. If you need the abstracts, the licence is money spent on features you will not open. The lease abstraction software pricing page lines up every vendor that publishes a figure.

It would be wrong to call LeaseWizard the weaker product. Several things on its site stand out, and they matter to specific buyers:

• Languages. It reads leases in more than 50 languages, including German, French, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese. A European or Asian portfolio is its home ground.
• Data residency. You choose where the database and documents live: the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, Asia, Australia or South America. Each customer gets isolated storage, and documents are not used for model training.
• Messy documents. Its FAQ says it reads scanned PDFs, photographed pages and handwritten modifications, and it handles amendments, addendums, subletting agreements, assignments and letters of intent.
• Administration after extraction. Reminders, payment schedules, batch jobs and an AI chat that answers questions across the portfolio under the same role permissions as the rest of the app.
• Security controls. MFA, OpenID Connect SSO, role-based access, restrictions by country or portfolio segment, and a read-only public API with scoped, revocable keys.

Its homepage describes the platform as built on SOC 2 Type II infrastructure. Read that precisely: it refers to the hosting underneath, not a SOC 2 report on LeaseWizard itself, so ask for the security documentation it offers on request.

Most US lease teams looking at LeaseWizard have a narrower problem than the product solves. A regional property manager with 90 retail leases in Texas, a controller loading 60 office leases into a new ASC 842 system, or an acquisitions analyst with a data room of 40 leases and ten days to close all need the same output: each lease and its amendments turned into a checked, structured record, exported, soon.

For that job a monthly licence plus a per-lease fee is the expensive shape. Upload the lease and its amendments, review the fields the model marked as uncertain against the clause each came from, and export to Excel, CSV or a Yardi or MRI mapped sheet. No. The name is shared by unrelated products, which confuses searches. CreditLink sells a product called LeaseWizard for digital lease creation, that is, drafting and generating leases, and leasewizard.us is another unrelated site. The AI lease abstraction product discussed on this page is the one at leasewizard.ai, run by LWA Lease Innovations UG in Germany.

If you found LeaseWizard while looking for software to write new leases, neither the abstraction product nor ours is what you want. The published price answers the first question. These five decide the rest:

• Is the licence billed monthly, or is it an annual commitment? At $350 a month the difference is the whole budget conversation.
• Which currency is the contract in? The site shows euros and dollars in different places.
• What does "amendments included" cover? Ask whether an amendment signed three years from now is included without another $20, and whether the abstract shows the lease as amended or the original with amendments listed beside it.
• Which US fields come out of the box? Ask about CAM and operating expense pass-throughs, base year, percentage rent and ASC 842 inputs such as the commencement date and renewal options reasonably certain to be exercised.
• What do we keep if we cancel? Ask for an export of every field with its source reference before you sign.

Bring your worst lease: a scanned original with three amendments and a side letter will tell you more than any sample.
